France: cocaine found in a nursery school in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis
Several children have played with drug found in a school of Gagny, in the department of Seine-Saint-Denis (Paris region), on Thursday, October 8th. Two of them were reportedly briefly hospitalised.
Some of them brought cocaine to their mouths
On Thursday afternoon, six children found a bag of cocaine in the playground of the Jules Ferry school in Gagny and played with the substance. Some of them even put some in their mouths, according to media reports.

“Dilated pupils”
Two of these schoolchildren were hospitalised with “symptoms of cocaine use,” including “dilated pupils”. They were observed for several hours but were able to return home in good health in the evening.
A “small pack of only one gram of cocaine” in the school
A member of the school’s staff reportedly threw the “small bundle of only one gram of cocaine” into a rubbish bin. No one knows whether the cocaine was hidden in the school or brought by a child.

Investigation launched
“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the idea that someone could enter a school with cocaine,” said to the AFP news agency, the mayor of the city, Rolin Cranoly. The territorial security is now handling the investigation.
