Due to police officers at his door, a 23-year-old man threw a bag containing “over 10 kg of cannabis resin” out of his window. But the bag ended up at the feet of another policeman, who remained on duty outside the building.

It was a rushed move that could cost a presumed drug dealer in Toulouse (south-western France) a lot of money. On Tuesday, August 25th, in a building of the Bagatelle district, a young man aged 23 threw a bag containing “over 10 kg of cannabis resin” over his balcony because of the policemen in front of his door. However, the bag landed at the feet of one of their colleagues, who remained on duty outside the building.

As reported in the newspaper 20 Minutes, the police were initially there for a different reason. They went there to settle a dispute between two tenants.

But a strong smell of cannabis emanating from another flat led them in front of this young man’s home. And he was already known to the police services.

Later, a search of his home by the drug squad turned up nearly 700 grams of cannabis, packaged for sale, and 4,500 euros in cash.

They thus tried the man in an immediate court appearance on Thursday, August 27th.
