France: the price of the standard stamp will rise to €1.08 in 2021
From January 1, 2021, the price of the standard green stamp will be over 1 euro. The French postal service La Poste justifies the price increase by “the acceleration of the decline in mail volumes”.
This is a milestone. In 2021, there will no longer be a French stamp at less than 1 euro, reports BFMTV.
La Poste announced last week that mail rates will increase by an average of 4.7% on January 1, 2021. The Authority for the Regulation of Electronic Communications and Posts has approved this change in rates.

In addition, the “tracking” sticker will go from 45 to 48 cents.
The prices of standard postal parcels sent to France (Colissimo) will rise by 1.6% on January 1, but the rate will remain unchanged for parcels weighing less than 250g.
Prices for industrial business mail will rise by 3.9% and those for direct marketing by 0.7%.
According to La Poste, this fare increase “helps to ensure the sustainability of the universal service,” in a “context of accelerating decline in the volume of mail” carried.
